Working principle of electronic fuel injection system

The electronic control unit receives real-time operating condition information detected by the crankshaft speed sensor, coolant temperature sensor, air flow sensor, accelerator pedal position sensor, needle valve travel sensor, etc. Then, based on the pre set and stored control programs and parameters or spectra within the ECU, through data calculation and logical judgment, it determines the control parameters suitable for the diesel engine's current operating conditions, and converts these parameters into electrical signals, Delivered to the corresponding actuator, the executing element flexibly changes the opening and closing time of the injector solenoid valve or the opening or closing of the switch according to the instructions of the ECU, so that the combustion process of the cylinder can adapt to the needs of various working conditions of the diesel engine, thereby achieving the goal of maximizing the output power of the diesel engine, reducing fuel consumption, and reducing pollution.

Once the sensor detects that some parameters or states are beyond the set range, the electronic control unit will store fault information and turn on the indicator light on the instrument panel (alarm to the operator). If necessary, the oil circuit will be automatically cut off or the inlet valve will be closed through the solenoid valve to reduce the output power of the diesel engine (or even stop the engine running), so as to protect the diesel engine from serious damage. This is the fault emergency Protected mode of the electronic control system
